Local DFW Cities Additional MS4 Requirements
Cities in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex that require BOTH 7-day routine inspections AND 0.5-inch rain event inspections.
DFW Municipalities Requiring Dual Inspection Schedules
While the state TPDES General Permit (TXR150000) allows operators to choose between a 7-day inspection schedule OR a 14-day + 0.5" rain event schedule, several Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) cities in the DFW Metroplex enforce stricter local ordinances.
The following DFW cities currently require inspections EVERY 7 DAYS AND within 24 hours of a 0.5-inch or greater storm event:
- Arlington
- Burleson
- Grand Prairie
- Irving
- Murphy
- Prosper
How ProTex Handles Projects in These Cities
Because ProTex Environmental does not perform post-storm rain event inspections, projects located in Arlington, Burleson, Grand Prairie, Irving, Murphy, or Prosper either use ProTex for the weekly 7-day inspections with an on-site contractor representative delegated for 0.5" storm event inspections, or the contractor performs all inspections (for example, using our ProTexion self-inspection platform).
